Hamblin Dermatology held an open house on October 8th from 1:00 – 4:30 pm. The open house was successful with a great turnout for patients who received free cancer screenings and consultations. Dr. Hamblin began seeing patients in August 2015 at their new office in Show Low.
Dr. Travis Hamblin a Dermatologist and Dermatologic surgeon has arrived in the White Mountains. Born and raised in Eager, AZ, his dream was to complete his education and return to this area where he would open a full service dermatology practice.
Dr. Hamblin received his undergraduate degree at Arizona State University where he graduated with honors. He attended medical school at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona and after graduating in the top 10% of his class, he moved to Michigan completing his Residency in Dermatology as Chief Resident at Michigan State University.
As a published author, Dr. Hamblin recently won the award for Dermatologic Surgery based on his manuscript regarding the efficacy of Trichloroacetic Acid application for post-operative scarring. Residents all over the country compete but only one is selected. This award included a trip to the Outback allowing him to travel to Australia for 2 weeks and work alongside the country’s leading skin cancer surgeon Dr. Anthony Dixon.
Dr. Hamblin is highly skilled in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of hair, skin and nails taking the time to evaluate your condition and ensure you understand the diagnosis and treatment options so you leave the office informed and with peace of mind about the treatment you received. Should you need surgery, Dr. Hamblin is a caring and skilled MOH’s surgeon, and is the only Dermatologist available full time in the White Mountains.
